Here’s a small glimpse into the love story of Kylah & Ethan—and the unforgettable weekend that brought it all to life.
A Whimsical Wedding Week at Sou’Wester Lodge | Kylah & Ethan’s Camp-Inspired Celebration in Seaview, WA
It’s officially Kylah and Ethan’s wedding week—and it couldn’t have started in a more magical place. Late July brought warm coastal breezes, the scent of salt in the air, and sweeping views of evergreens lining the grass-covered dunes that lead to the shoreline of Seaview, Washington. Tucked into this charming coastal town is Sou’Wester Lodge, the heart of their celebration.
A Special Place for a Special Story
A few years ago, we explored this eclectic and cozy lodge with Kylah and Ethan for a couple’s adventure session (see the full story PART I HERE & PART II HERE. Even then, they were drawn to the vintage trailers, art-filled spaces, and the soulful vibe of Sou’Wester. So when it came time to say "I do," they knew this was the exact place they wanted to gather their people and start this next chapter of their lives.
But instead of just a one-day wedding, Kylah and Ethan curated a thoughtful, multi-day experience—an intentional and meaningful way to celebrate their love with both adventure and community.
A Private Vow Exchange on the Coast
To begin their wedding week, Kylah and Ethan took time to be together—just the two of them. Inspired by the feeling of an adventure elopement, they started their week with a private vow exchange at Deadman’s Cove. Afterward, we traveled to the Oregon Coast near Cannon Beach, where they watched the sun dip below the cliffs—an unforgettable way to mark the beginning of their marriage. Family Dinner at Castaways in Seaview
The next day, with family starting to arrive, they hosted an intimate family dinner at Castaways Restaurant—just five minutes down the road from Sou’Wester Lodge. It was the perfect space to welcome loved ones into the fold and share heartfelt moments before the bigger celebration kicked off.
A Beach Day to Kick Off the Wedding Week
Kylah and Ethan kicked off their unforgettable wedding week with a beach day in Seaview, WA, surrounded by all their closest friends. Since 2024 was the year of the Summer Olympics, they brought the fun by hosting their very own “Laser Olympics”—a playful nod to friendly competition and good vibes.
The day was packed with laughs, Cheeto ball tossing, beach soccer, and spontaneous games that perfectly reflected their joyful, adventurous spirits. It was the perfect way to begin their Pacific Northwest wedding celebration, bringing everyone together for a day of sunshine, laughter, and connection before the main event.
Camp-Inspired Welcome Dinner at Sou’Wester Lodge
Then came the welcome dinner and party, the day when friends and family arrived from near and far. Inspired by Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom, Kylah and Ethan created an immersive, camp-themed welcome night full of playful, heartwarming details. From the decor to the energy, every element was infused with their personalities.
Picnic tables, camp-style signs, handmade touches, and curated design brought their vision to life. It was equal parts nostalgic, whimsical, and totally their own.
Personal Touches: Art, Music & Meaning
Two unforgettable details made this night even more special:
Their Personal Art Gallery: Leading up to the wedding, Kylah and Ethan completed an artist residency at Sou’Wester Lodge. As guests arrived, they were welcomed not only to a celebration—but into a space filled with art and stories created by the couple themselves.
Live Music by Thunderstorm: The couple also invited Thunderstorm, a soulful musician whose voice moved everyone in attendance. As he performed heartfelt songs, guests swayed under the lights, and Kylah and Ethan were serenaded in the most memorable way.
The Perfect Ending: A Piñata Smash!
To close the night, Kylah and Ethan surprised everyone with a piñata smash! Filled with fun trinkets and faux money, it turned into a playful, laughter-filled moment that brought out everyone’s inner kid. It was such a joyful, unexpected way to end the evening before their wedding day.

Kylah & Ethan’s Wedding Day at Sou’Wester Lodge | A Vintage Celebration in Seaview, WA
It’s Wedding Day!!
There was magic in the air the morning of Kylah and Ethan’s wedding. At Sou’Wester Lodge in Seaview, Washington, the energy was unmistakable—florals being styled, tables shifting into place, and an undercurrent of joyful anticipation. This was the day.
A Community-Centered Wedding Morning
As Kylah and Ethan got ready, loved ones came together to help bring the day to life. While the aesthetic was completely different from the camp-inspired welcome party the night before, it remained equally intentional and unique.
One of the most meaningful touches? Kylah’s dad served as their florist, designing all the floral arrangements and tablescapes. His artistry brought warmth and personal beauty to every detail, making the space feel both intimate and elegant.
A Ceremony Full of Emotion & Meaning
Kylah and Ethan opted not to do a first look, choosing instead to see each other for the first time as Kylah walked down the aisle. It’s always such a powerful moment—when everyone stands for the bride, I love to glance back at the groom. Ethan’s eyes were full of both tears and joy as he watched Kylah make her way toward him.
Their officiant was also a close friend and pastor, making the ceremony even more heartfelt. Kylah and Ethan also wrote a second set of vows, following their original vow exchange earlier in the week. These were just as moving—proof of how deep and intentional their love truly is.
Post-Ceremony Portraits by the Sea
After the ceremony, we wandered through the grounds of Sou’Wester Lodge, soaking in the rustic charm before heading to the nearby Washington coast for beach portraits. With sand underfoot and coastal breezes in their hair, Kylah and Ethan shared quiet, joyful moments before rejoining their guests.
Welcome to Club Laser: A 70’s Disco Wedding Reception
Then it was time to party. And not just any party—Kylah and Ethan threw a vintage-inspired 70’s disco reception they named Club Laser.
Held inside one of Sou’Wester’s historic buildings (over 100 years old!), the space transformed into a retro dance haven—disco balls, colorful lights, vintage vibes, and pure celebration. At one point, the dance floor was shaking from the energy and movement—I truly thought we might fall through the floor! That’s when you know it’s a great party.
From heartfelt speeches to full-on dance battles, Club Laser did not disappoint. It was the perfect finale to a multi-day wedding experience that reflected Kylah and Ethan’s style, spirit, and soul.
Final Thoughts
Every part of Kylah and Ethan’s wedding week—from their private vow adventure to their eclectic welcome dinner and vintage disco wedding—was a reflection of who they are. Full of intention, creativity, and connection, their celebration at Sou’Wester Lodge on the Washington Coast is one we’ll never forget.
