COLORFUL OUTDOOR WEDDING AT CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN RESORT
What an extraordinary day it turned out to be! We had the absolute honor of capturing the magical moments of Emily and Killy's colorful outdoor wedding. The event took place at the stunningly beautiful Crystal Mountain Resort, situated right on the top of the awe-inspiring Mt. Rainier National Park. As a photographer, we are always captivated and left in awe by the spectacular panoramic views this venue offers! The breathtaking beauty of nature that surrounds the location is simply amazing. But that particular day, with the combination of the joyous wedding and the stunning setting, was truly something special. It was a day filled with love, and laughter, all of which made it a truly unforgettable experience.
Emily & Killy’s Outdoor Wedding Day
Emily and Killy reached out to us in February 2023, and we were instantly drawn to their shared passion for nature and hiking. This adventurous couple loved the great outdoors so much that we even held their engagement session in the beautiful Hoh Rainforest and the stunning Ruby Beach in Olympic National Park. These locations, despite being an hour apart, both beautifully showcased their love for Nature. Their wedding day started off a bit moody with a drizzle of rain - quite a surprise for an August day! But as Emily walked down the aisle, the clouds parted, the sun started to shine, and the majestic Mt. Rainier herself started to peek out. Talk about perfect timing!
Being big music lovers - especially for the band Phish - Emily and Killy incorporated their love for music into their special day. Each table was adorned with toppers representing a different band or album. How cool is that?! One of our favorite moments of the day was riding the gondola with the newlyweds. As we ascended to the summit, we spotted a herd of elk grazing on the mountainside. The venue is conveniently located just 25 minutes away from the Mt Rainier Sunrise entrance and 45 minutes from both the Sunrise Visitor Center and Lake Tipsoo. This proximity to natural beauty makes it an ideal spot for nature-loving couples like Emily and Killy.
In the summer, guests can enjoy a scenic gondola ride up to the summit to take in the amazing views of Mt. Rainier. There's even a restaurant at the summit where you can dine while taking in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes. It's such a fun and unique experience! As the day was coming to an end, Emily and Killy's reception was nothing short of amazing. They had a live Phish cover band playing, which was a nod to their shared love for music. The night was filled with joy, laughter, and lots of dancing!
