ENGAGEMENT ADVENTURE AT RUBY BEACH

Ruby Beach is one of the most iconic places in Washington state and for an obvious reason. It’s beyond gorgeous with it’s larger than life rocks along shore and mountains that cascade along the ocean. Ruby beach is within Olympic National Park along the coastal side of the park. You can get to Ruby beach With the option of either taking a ferry and driving the North side of the Peninsula or driving around and down through Tacoma and Olympia on the South side of the Peninsula. Either way its an equal distance with about a 4 hour drive one way. If making the drive for a day trip, we recommend you stock up on snacks and make sure you have plenty of gas. There is not a whole lot as far as food options, lodging, and gas on this side of the Peninsula. Depending on which side you are driving from the best places to stop for food and lodging on the North side would be Port Angeles or Forks. And if driving from the South side Aberdeen. Although those town will have the most options, you can still find some places to stop and stay / eat around these locations below as well.

• Hoh Valley Cabins (25 Minute Drive)

• Forks, WA (32 Minute Drive)

• Lake Quinalt Lodge (47 Minute Drive)
  

Olympic National Park has so much to offer and each location within the park is so different from the next. It’s a lot to fit in one day so we definitely recommend staying in the area for at least a night or two! Here are some of our favorite places to stop within the Park.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Its important to note that this area is on native Hoh, Jamestown S'Klallam, Elwha Klallam, Makah, Port Gamble S'Klallam, Quileute, Quinault and Skokomish tribal land, and encourage to respect and admire the area while visiting. Especially in passing reservation areas such as La Push.

Also if planning in the Summer months is good to note that this has become a highly popular area and can get congested. The Hoh Rainforrest is known to have an hour or so wait at times just to enter the park.
